Top Birthday Freebies You Can't Afford to Miss This Year

Well, there are plenty of companies out there that are offering great birthday freebies.

Read on to discover my favourite finds for birthday freebies in the UK.

Note: Each freebie requires you to register an account with the individual retailer, and add your birthday to your profile. Most will also require you to have their app downloaded too.

Food

1. Free sweet treat at Costa Coffee

Receive a free sweet treat/cake on your birthday. You have 7 days after the freebie is issued to redeem. You can also collect "beans" in the app to work towards a free coffee. For each coffee bought, you get a "bean", collect 10 beans for a free drink. If you don't yet have the Costa Coffee app, and would like 6 free beans to kick start your collection, download the app now.

2. Free Krispy Kreme doughnut

Join the Krispy Kreme Rewards program through the app or website to get a free doughnut voucher which can be redeemed for a free doughnut of your choice in a Krispy Kreme store (though it doesn't work at concessions like at supermarkets or service stations). 

3. Free sweet treat at Gail's bakery

Get a free sweet treat at Gail's for your birthday.

4. £5 spend at Hotel Chocolat

Be sure to join "VIP:ME" to get £5 to spend at Hotel Chocolat when you spend £5.50! I personally love the chocolate gemstones which are £7.95 a bag.

5. Free sweet treat at Caffè Nero

Get a voucher for a free slice of cake or traybake, valid for 14 days from your birthday. 

6. Free sweet treat at Greggs

Grab a sweet treat from the counter at Greggs. You have a whole month to redeem your treat! Plus, if you haven't downloaded the app yet, you'll get a free regular hot drink or iced drink.

7. Free doughnut at Lidl

You can get a free doughnut (or cookie) on your birthday via the Lidl app, valid for 7 days from your birthday.

You can get a free small box of chocolate at any Lindt store when you spend £10 (this is new, they used to just give you the free chocolates), plus if you don't have a My Lindt Rewards account yet, you also get a 10% off welcome voucher.

Get one free burger when you buy another burger, valid for 45 days from your birthday.

10. Free cookie at Subway

Get a free cookie.

11. Free treat at M&S

Get a mystery treat at M&S via the Sparks app on your birthday (this year I got a pack of cookies!)
